Common questions

Where do I find my Place ID?

The Place ID finder on this site (linked above the field) reads it out of a Google Maps link you already have. If that link will not resolve, Google’s own Place ID Finder at developers.google.com is the fallback: type your business name, click your listing, copy the ID that appears — it usually starts with “ChIJ”.

Does the link expire?

No. It is tied to your Place ID, which stays stable for a listing. If you move or merge listings, generate a fresh link from the new ID.

Can customers use it without a Google account?

Writing a Google review requires a Google account — that is Google’s rule, not the link’s.

Is anything stored or sent anywhere?

No. The link is assembled in your browser from the ID you paste, and the QR is drawn locally. Nothing is sent to us.
