Salon appointment reminder text templates (copy and paste)
Type the salon, the client’s first name, the service, the stylist and the time once, pick friendly or professional, and this page fills seven texts at the same time: a 48-hour and a 24-hour reminder, a see-you-soon, a no-show follow-up, a rebooking nudge, the deposit and cancellation note, and a running-late message. Each one shows how many SMS segments it will cost. Copy, paste into your booking app or your phone, send.

Counts are an estimate; carriers and apps differ by a character or two. This page sends nothing: paste the text into your booking system’s reminder template or into your phone.
These are fixed sentences filled with what you typed, not generated text. Read each one before you send it.
Not legal advice. Rules for business texting differ by country and state: the TCPA and the FCC in the US, GDPR and each country’s ePrivacy rules in Europe. A reminder for an appointment the client booked is generally fine; anything promotional needs consent and an opt-out.
Assembled in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored; close the tab and it is gone.

Before you paste them into your booking app
The counter is the reason this page exists. A text carries 160 characters in the basic GSM alphabet, or 70 once it contains a curly quote, an emoji, any Chinese or an accent the GSM table lacks (é and ñ are in it; ë and ő are not); longer messages split into pieces of 153 or 67, and texting services bill each piece. The templates use straight quotes and no dashes for exactly that reason, and a long salon name or a booking link is what tips a reminder into a second piece.
This page sends nothing. It fills fixed sentences with what you typed, in your browser, and gives you a copy button. Sending on a schedule is what a booking system does, and the guide linked below shows how to test one before paying for it.
Ask for a confirmation once, in the 24-hour message. Three texts that all say “reply YES” teach people to ignore all three; the 48-hour one is a heads-up, and the see-you-soon is a courtesy.
A reminder for an appointment the client booked is transactional; the rebooking nudge is marketing, and marketing texts need consent and an opt-out line in most places, under the TCPA in the US and GDPR plus ePrivacy rules in Europe. This page is not legal advice; check with the FCC or your national regulator before sending anything unsolicited.
Writing the reminder is the easy half; sending it at the right hour, every day, with nobody remembering to, is the booking system’s job. The guide lists what to test before you pay for one, reminders and deposits included, and ends at the salon starting points, whose booking section is built around services, staff and time slots.
What should a salon appointment reminder text say?
Five things, one short sentence each: who is texting, the client’s name, the service, the day and time, and how to change the booking. Without a link, keep the whole message under 160 characters so it arrives in one piece; a link can push it into a second piece, so put it last where it is easy to tap. The 24-hour template on this page is that list in order.
How far in advance should I send an appointment reminder?
The day before is the one that matters, sent in the evening when people look at tomorrow’s plans. Add a 48-hour message for color, extensions and anything that blocks two hours or more, because a gap that size is hard to refill on the day. The two-hour see-you-soon is optional and works best for first-time clients.
Can I send these texts automatically?
Not from this page, which only writes them. Most salon booking systems send reminders on a schedule you set, pull the name, service and time from the appointment itself, and add the opt-out line where the law wants one. Paste your wording into the system’s reminder template and let it do the sending.
Do I need to add “Reply STOP to opt out”?
For a reminder about an appointment the client booked, usually not; for a rebooking nudge or any promotion, usually yes, and in the US the TCPA also requires prior consent for automated marketing texts. Most booking systems add the line for you. This is not legal advice: the FCC publishes the US rules, and each European country’s data-protection authority publishes its own.
